The news

Dear world,
There is really no delicate way of letting our friends know about Annie. Bear shared his news by blogging his bucket list.  But I have to be the bad news receiver and messenger.  Annie has the same type of Cancer Bear did– Hemangiosarcoma.  So my Mommy, Daddy and I are going to make sure the remaining months that Annie has are filled with absolute joy.  Lots of treats and toys. I welcome any ideas you may have that we should do for Annie. The sky's the limit, if we can reach it!

Annie's Home

We picked Annie up from the hospital today.  She needs to stay contained in a small area while she is recovering. So Daddy brought home a jail. I feel so bad. I didn't even get a chance to decorate it before she came home. I will spend time tomorrow googling jail decor for inspiration. Maybe at least  hang some nice pictures and put out fresh flowers! I wonder if Mommy would let me spray paint it pink. Now wouldn't that be fab?

Another Annie visit

Dear world,
We went to visit Annie this afternoon. We were so happy to see her and she was excited to see us. She looked better and told me she felt a little better. I told her that I heard she wasn't eating, so I brought some stuff that I thought she would like. Score! It worked! She ate a little snack smorgasbord of our fave treats. She thanked us for coming to visit, but wanted to go back upstairs for more napping. I will continue with my paw prayers for my sweet Annie to come home soon.

Hospital Visit

Annie's surgery went well yesterday. They got the whole mass out. We are cautiously optimistic waiting for biopsy results. In the meantime, we just came back from visiting Annie in the hospital. Annie was really out of it because she is on a lot of medications. We didn't stay too long because she seemed really uncomfortable. Annie told me to guard all her toys at home while she is away and said she wanted to just go back in and go to sleep. I had Mommy and Daddy get Tess to take her back inside.
Poor sweet Annie. I hope she comes home tomorrow, At least she has fab color bandages.

What is the pizza for?

Last night Daddy came home with a pizza special for Annie. She doesnt know yet, but she is going to the hospital for surgery today. She has a mass that needs to be removed. They don't know what it is. So I want to ask all my readers to keep your paws crossed and send good energy over Annie's way. I will be saying lots of paw prayers for my sweet Annie.

Collect Rocks Day

Dear world,
At the beach today, Annie just wanted to be by the rocks. I didn't understand why she didn't want to be greeting other dogs or sniffing and peeing on seaweed. She explained that today is Collect Rocks day.   First she asked Mommy if we could bring the rocks home. That did not go over too well. So she felt that if she sat and guarded a big pile of rocks, it would serve as her collection. Where does she come up with these things?

My very own statue

The other day Mommy came home all excited from her shopping trip. She said she found the most perfect gift for me. So she took it out of the bag and presented me with a black princess poodle statue. I was so impressed that an artist was commissioned in my honor. The likeness was excellent. The only thing missing were my blue eyes.

Venice

Dear world,
Mommy and Daddy went to Italy this past summer. One of the presents Mommy brought to me was a gondolier outfit. At first I thought "what was she thinking?".  But then when I tried it on, somehow my mind transported me directly to Venice. As I looked over the Grand Canal, I thought " Bellisima"! OMP, can I now bark in Italian?

Taco Tuesday

When Bear was around, Mommy and Daddy always seemed to truly celebrate Taco Tuesday with tacos. I mentioned to Mommy that I think it is still important to celebrate Taco Tuesday. She agreed. The other day we had such a nice time at the super dog friendly UTC Mall.  First we went to the bark park, where I sniffed while Annie rolled. Then while Annie went searching for food, I found the perfect place to lounge in in front of Tiffany.

Sunset Stop

Dear world,
We sometimes go for a walk after our dinner. We often pass by people sitting and waiting for  the sunset. So it got us to thinking (as our brother Bear taught us), why don't we stop and watch the sunset? So the other day we decided to find a spot to sit during sunset. All we were missing was a glass of wine. But we are not old enough yet.

Carpet Snakes

Dear world
The other day, Annie barked for me frantically to come to the door immediately. She barked "Look! Giant snakes are attacking our house!" I refrained from giggling and explained that they are to help get the carpet cleaned. She thanked me and barked that she felt better knowing they were good snakes. At which point I executed the perfect eye roll.

Shopping again

Dear world,
The other day we went shopping again for home stuff. First stop was Best Buy. There was nothing we liked in the store. They didn't even have Nickelodeon on any of the TVs that were on. Then we went to Bed Bath & Beyond. I thought the store had very interesting things. Annie wasn't pleased when she kept sneezing in the candle aisle, but her nose felt all better when she saw the dog toys!
