Poodle curls

Dear world,
After my bath, Rosy noticed that my fur was curly. So now she is insisting that I must be part poodle. So she asked Mom to dry me with a diffuser so that my fur stays curly and I will look more like her. But I don't like blow dryers and I don't want to be a poodle. I like being a Cocker Spaniel. Thank dogness Mom is supporting me on this one.

Celebrating Bear

Dear world,
Today would have been our brother Bear's 11th birthday. So in his honor, we put on Bear ears and had pizza. But without Bear, pizza just isn't the same. We miss Bear so much. We hope he is having a great time swimming in heaven's ocean today and celebrating with Fuzz, Oliver and all his friends eating lots of angel pizza.

Dear world,
The other day we went to PetSmart. Mommy said I could pick something and she would get it for me. So I decided to go to the fish aisle. I strolled along the tanks looking for what I wanted. But there was no tuna fish.  Oh poo!

Mommy's Toy

Dear world,
Mommy used to take me with Bear to places to run and play ball and get a bit dirty. Now since Bear is gone, Mommy takes me shopping instead. The other day we went to Home Goods. It is sort of like a Petco for humans. I was walking and sniffing around the store. We ended up at the pet section. It was like a social corner with Mommies and little dogs. All the dogs were in carts except me, so in the cart I went. I am becoming such a Toy Poodle.

Shopping bags

Dear world, 
The other day Mommy came home with lots of shopping bags. She said she had a bunch of things for us. I sniffed through all the bags and there were no treats! Rosy barked at me "Aren't the outfits just yummy?" No. Clothes are not yummy. Doesn't she realize she is a dog?

How embarrassing!

Dear world,
The other day I had to have an MRI (a Machine for Rosy Images). Mommy told me that they would give me something so I could take a nap while they took pictures. I was fine with getting extra beauty sleep. But when I woke up I saw my legs. OMP!  I didnt know they were going to shave my legs! Well, hopefully my personal stylist will be able to fix this. This is beyond embarrassing.

Cheeseburger Day

I was so excited when I saw the McDonald's Bag.  I looked inside and saw the quarter pounder boxes for Rosy and me. I thought since it is National Cheeseburger Day I get to go off my diet. Rosy said not really Annie. So then she told me she ordered me a Cheeseburger but held the meat, cheese and bun. And there was my box of lettuce and tomato. Noooooo!

Dear world,
Bear was always wishing we could have a kitty.  I thought it would be nice too, another girl to play dress up with.  But that idea is out of the question.  Annie met a kitty yesterday on her walk. Let’s just say, Annie doesn't distinguish between kitties and bunnies. Ugh. She is just such a dog.

Weight Management

The other day Annie and I went to Dr. Andy for a check up. The first thing we each did was get on the scale. I was perfect as usual. But Annie was told she has to lose weight. I told her that means she needs to stop eating my leftovers and stealing bags of treats out of Mommy's totes. In the meantime, I will manage the cookie cabinet.

I guess I was really inspired by the Dog-Surf-a-Thon the other day. Last night I had this absolutely magical dream.. I was a surf princess riding the fabulous ocean waves. My visual wasn't realistic though because my hair was dry. I wouldnt look as pretty if my hair was wet. I would rather be a land Princess.

Dog Surf-A-Thon

When I went to see the Dog-Surf-A-Thon I coudnt wait to watch the surfers and meet other non-surfing attendees like myself. The last thing I expected was to meet a giant blue Buffalo! Well, I feel it is important to take pictures with event sponsors. You never know, they may want to hire a princess spokes dog one day for their petfood. I thought I modeled rather well, don't you?

Chloe the Surfer

Dear world,
Yesterday I attended the Dog-Surf-A-Thon at Del Mar. I wanted to interview Chloe, one of the surfing dogs for my blog. So she invited me onto her board and we talked surf fashion. She had an adorable pink life vest with a matching rashguard. And her nails were painted SurferGirl hot pink! OMP! Anyway, she asked me to come surfing with her. I thanked her but explained that I was too busy as a blogger, but I would root for her.

Golden Sunset

Dear world,

The other day on my walk, we stopped by the beach to watch the sunset. I looked around the beach, imagining Bear running and playing in the ocean. Then I looked at the sky and it was very Golden. That made me think maybe Bear is up there watching me and Mom. And that made me smile. I miss my Bear.
